Day 6 - the end is near

Today proofed to be not so easy. Lots of cravings... Danish pastry, lollies, cake, bread even fish. Wouldn't mind some bacon or smoked ham.

This morning started with the regular detox juice with cherries and Brazil nuts. Just realised that I haven't actually properly explained what my detox juice consists of:

squeeze 2 lemons
3 tbsp maple syrup (get the one without preservatives)
a pinch of cayenne pepper
water so you get a juice of about 700-750ml

Easy - you can but don't have to use water warm - some find it easier to drink.

Felt like getting something sweet in the bakery and later on like going out for dinner but both aren't really an option for the moment... I need to stay strong - just like last night - which was a good party btw, lots of nice people but not easy to go on only water especially if you are offered champagne and wine. Staying away from chips didn't prove too difficult.

Back to today - lunch was a detox juice and roasted veggies: nice tiny potatoes + kumara(sweet potato) + carrots + red onion + shallots + olive oil + pepper & salt + mixed Italian herbs and also a bowl of smoked capsicum and pumpkin soup (leftover from the other day).

At 4pm had a handful of macadamia nuts! Great those were. More cherries - they are so nice they taste like a sweet.

Dinner was roasted zucchini stuffed with mushroom, onion, celery, potato and some cashew nuts with red braised cabbage & apple on the side (I used honey instead of sugar and oil instead of butter) as well as a salad of tomatoes, lettuce, spring onion and macadamia nuts! Yummy.

One more day to go - the end is near ;-)
